*This position is requiring 2 days a week onsite in Hartford, CT or Short Hills, NJ. *
*Description* Note: Hybrid on-site in Connecticut is preferred.. (For NJ candidates) This role will be located at our future headquarters in Short Hills, N.J. Until the new headquarters is operational, the successful candidate will be offered the ability to work in our Branchville, N.J. location during this interim period. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Software Engineer with expertise in .NET and Cloud technologies. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in software development, cloud computing, and leadership. This role involves designing, developing, and maintaining full stack applications hosted on both on-prem and cloud platforms, as well as leading a team of engineers to deliver high-quality software solutions. Responsibilities: *Lead the design and development of full stack solutions using .NET and Cloud technologies. *Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features. *Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications. *Lead and mentor a team of engineers, providing technical leadership and support. *Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues. *Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to ensure the team remains at the forefront of innovation. Qualifications: *7+ years of experience designing and developing complex applications *Proficiency in C# .NET API design and development *Experience in designing and building solutions using Azure cloud services *Experience with cloud-first architectures and related Azure services, e.g. Container Apps, API Management / App Gateway, Key Vault, App Services, Logic Apps, SQL MI *Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code patterns and related technologies e.g. Bicep, ARM, Terraform *Familiarity with modern cloud-native patterns principles, e.g. Twelve-Factor Apps, Service Oriented Architectures / microservices / REST, DevOps, Continuous Deployment, and Site Reliability Engineering *Experience designing and developing full-stack business critical enterprise systems *Experience as a technical leader; leading and mentoring a team of engineers *Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. *Strong communication and leadership skills. *Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is preferred. *Experience working on agile teams and release trains, and knowledge of SAFe, is preferred *Skills* C#, .NET framework, Azure, Azure APIM, Azure Key Vault, ARM templates, APIs, DevOps, CI/CD, SQL *Nice to have:* Angular *Additional Skills & Qualifications* *Experience in Angular and SQL is a plus *Property Casualty Insurance experience is a plus *Pay and Benefits* The pay range for this position is $70.00 - $80.00/hr.
