DevOps Engineer, Senior

DevOps engineering requires a specific mix of development, engineering, and communication skills. We're looking for a DevOps engineer like you to help develop critical tools and get them into the hands of those who need them most.

As a DevOps engineer at Booz Allen, you'll help streamline the software development lifecycle, from requirements to monitoring in production. You'll incorporate open-source tools, automation, and cloud resources to cut down on tedious tasks and free up the team's developers to do what they do best-create. You'll work with the team to implement continuous integration and delivery to limit manual testing and troubleshooting. You Have:

  • Experience with Python packaging and dependency management
  • Experience with containerization tools such as Docker or Podman
  • Experience with scripting or programming languages such as Python or C++
  • Knowledge of software development lifecycle and release management practices
  • Ability to create clear, detailed documentation for both internal and external users
  • Ability to obtain a Secret clearance
  • Bachelor's degree in a CS or Electrical Engineering field

Nice If You Have:

  • Experience with CI/CD pipeline development and troubleshooting using GitLab, Jenkins, or GitHub actions
  • Experience with artifact repository management with tools such as Artifactory or Nexus
  • Experience supporting software tool suites or multiple interconnected applications
  • Experience with user permission management, access controls, DevSecOps practices, and security-focused workflows
  • Experience deploying software in an air-gapped environment
  • Knowledge of software build systems and dependency management tools such as CMake, Conan, or VCPKG
  • Knowledge of multi-language build environments and dependency compatibility
  • Possession of strong written and verbal communication skills, for cross-team collaboration
  • Possession of strong technical writing and documentation skills
  • Secret clearance

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $77,500.00 to $176,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
