About You


You are a person who is passionate about providing strategic leadership, operational oversight, and expert guidance for the successful planning, implementation and optimization of the Epic electronic health record system across client organizations. In the role of VP of Epic Implementation & Advisory, you will be responsible for bridging the gap between RCM operational and IT teams to ensure Epic solutions are deployed efficiently and align with organizational goals.

About The Position


Practice Development -- Epic Advisory Services



  • Build and scale an Epic advisory practice that delivers high-value consulting and strategic support to healthcare clients.
  • Develop service offerings, methodologies, toolkits, and delivery frameworks that support Epic implementation, optimization, and performance improvement.
  • Recruit, develop, and mentor a high-performing team of Epic consultants, project managers, and subject matter experts.
  • Partner with business development and marketing teams to identify growth opportunities, respond to RFPs, and support client acquisition.
  • Establish standard operating procedures, quality assurance benchmarks, and knowledge-sharing protocols to ensure consistency and excellence across engagements.
  • Represent the advisory practice in industry events, thought leadership opportunities, and strategic client engagements.
  • Lead the development of a go-to-market strategy to drive a robust pipeline of potential Epic clients, leveraging industry relationships, market intelligence, and strategic partnership.


Implementation Leadership



  • Lead end-to-end Epic implementation initiatives for Signature Performance clients, including project planning, timeline management, stakeholder engagement, and risk mitigation.
  • Develop and manage implementation roadmaps, resource allocation, training strategies, and change management plans.
  • Serve as the liaison between Epic teams, client leadership, and key users to ensure alignment and accountability.
  • Engage cross-functional teams (clinical, operational, financial, and technical) to ensure a collaborative and integrated implementation.
  • Lead, mentor, and coach project managers, analysts, trainers, and super users throughout the Epic lifecycle.
  • Foster strong relationships with senior leadership, providing status reports, dashboards, and KPI-driven updates.


Assessments & Strategy



  • Provide executive-level advisory services on best practices for Epic optimization, governance models, and digital health strategy.
  • Conduct workflow analysis and recommend system or operational improvements to maximize the value of Epic.
  • Advise clients or internal departments on regulatory compliance, reporting standards, and data governance within Epic.
  • Stay abreast of Epic releases, industry trends, and federal healthcare IT regulations, offering strategic direction accordingly.
  • Lead comprehensive current-state assessments across operational and revenue cycle domains to identify pain points, technology gaps, and areas for optimization.
  • Guide clients through system selection processes, including requirements gathering, vendor evaluation, RFP development, and decision-making support.
  • Provide objective recommendations on EHR platform readiness, cost-effectiveness, and long-term scalability, with a focus on alignment with organizational goals.
  • Identify and address root causes of revenue leakage across the patient access, clinical documentation, coding, billing, and collection processes.
  • Develop and implement mitigation strategies that align Epic workflows, automation, and reporting capabilities to enhance financial performance and ensure clean claims and optimal reimbursements.


Collaboration & Leadership



  • Serve as a key leader and collaborator within the broader Signature Performance consulting vertical, providing guidance and thought leadership and fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment.
  • Partner with Signature Performance's Commercial Business Development team to contribute to Epic client pursuits, build relationships with potential clients, and provide input on pipeline opportunities.
  • Serve as a member of Signature Performance's Leadership Team, contributing to the overall strategic direction of the company, developing and implementing business plans, and setting goals.


Minimum Requirements:



  • Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Information Systems, or related field; Master's preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in healthcare IT with a minimum of 5 years leading Epic implementations and/or optimizations.
  • Certified in one or more Epic modules (e.g., EpicCare, Resolute, Cadence, etc.).
  • Demonstrated success leading large-scale EHR implementations or advisory engagements in provider or consulting settings.
  • Proven experience in building or significantly expanding a professional services or advisory practice.


  • Strong understanding of healthcare operations, regulatory compliance, and clinical workflows


Preferred Requirements:



  • Experience working with or advising large health systems, academic medical centers, or integrated delivery networks.
  • Experience with Epic implementation in ambulatory and acute care settings.
  • PMP, Lean Six Sigma, or other relevant certifications.
