The Federal Systems Technology department of the USFGMD is responsible for service supporting a charter of implementing and integrating complex systems sold worldwide to the US Federal Government. As a USFGMD Systems Technologist, you will be exposed to a wide variety of communications requirements in both the Presale and Post Sale phases of a project.   • This position is a dedicated Onsite LMR Technical System Manager position working directly at our customers location in Seattle, WA.

  • Candidates must be based within 1 hour from Seattle, WA.

  • Applicant MUST be willing to travel by air up to 10% of the time and be a self motivator.

Job Responsibilities

  • Responsibilities include everyday maintenance, troubleshooting, repair and customer training on Motorola Land Mobile Radio Products.

  • This equipment is state of the art Astro 25 trunking.

  • Verbalize and communicate concepts and recommendations to the customers and within the Motorola organization.

  • Provide a detailed understanding of Motorola systems permitting the individual to assist in the design, troubleshooting and maintenance of Motorola's product lines.

  • Deliver a thorough understanding of Motorola RSS/CPS software and how toprogram subscribers and infrastructure equipment.

Candidate Expectations

  • Experience working with Infrastructure Technologies to include Motorola Astro 25 cores, MCC console line and 3rd party networking equipment

  • Must be able to obtain CompTIA Security Plus

  • Strong networking skills required

  • Understanding of IA systems and group policies in a network administrative position.

  • Applicant must be proficient with Microsoft Office products and Motorola Radio Service Software products.

  • Must have a excellent communications skills and always present a professional image.

Candidate Requirements

  • Required to complete Standard Form 89 Questionnaire for National Security Positions.

  • Must be willing and capable of meeting the requirements to obtain a DHS Public Trust Clearance. Employment is contingent upon passing a DHS Public Trust Clearance.
  • The candidate must be able to obtain a passport
  • Must be a U.S. citizen with ability to obtain necessary security clearance as required by government contract(s)
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. indefinitely is required. Employer work permit sponsorship is not available for this position.

Target Base Salary Range: $80,000 - $100,000 USD

Consistent with Motorola Solutions values and applicable law, we provide the following information to promote pay transparency and equity. Pay within this range varies and depends on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The actual offer will be based on the individual candidate.

Basic Requirements
  • Bachelor Degree and 5+ years OR Associate Degree wand 7+ years OR High School Diploma/GED and 9+ years of experience in one of the following: LMR, RF Systems, Radio Frequency, Radio Communications, Wired/Wireless Communication Systems, Networking Equipment, IT or Military
  • Must be a U.S. citizen with the ability to obtain necessary security clearance as required by government contract.
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. indefinitely is required. Employer work permit sponsorship is not available for this position.
