Position Summary

The Shipping & receiving Supervisor will plan, direct, and oversee the shipment or receipt of materials, parts, or products. Ensures processes are followed to meet specific customer requirements. Oversees and leads the work of the team or department. Assesses team members' skills and determines training needed. Manages the day-to-day operations of the shipping and receiving department. Monitors efficiency, turn-times, lead times, and collaborates with the Customer Service Team to effectively respond to customers. Fosters a spirit of teamwork and unity among department members to effectively work together to enable each employee and the department to succeed. Assists in training new shipping/receiving specialists and cross-trains current specialists to ensure optimum packing/shipping deliveries. Studies shipping/receiving processes for effectiveness. Suggests improvements to distribution procedures and acts to improve timeliness or reduce costs. Documents shipping/receiving information and completes reports for management.

What You'll do as a Shipping & Receiving Supervisor

  • Trains department employees regarding accuracy of all shipping and receiving responsibilities.


  • Oversees accuracy of data entry according to current documented procedures on all incoming and outgoing orders.


  • Oversees proper forensic testing of products by employees.


  • Oversees procedure for proper disinfection for scopes as needed or required.


  • Abides by all Company safety and health policies and procedures. Uses personal protective equipment if required.


  • Aware of and conforms to Company ISO goals and objectives and supports ISO requirements.

The Experience, Skills and Abilities Needed

Required:



  • Bachelor's Degree; Years of experience accepted in lieu of degree: 4 years in shipping and receiving or related field.
  • 2 years of experience in shipping and receiving or related field.
  • 2 years of experience in managing a team.
  • 3 years of Data entry experience.



Preferred:



  • Computer Skills - Must be proficient with all Microsoft Office applications, with previous experience using Oracle preferred.

Pay range for this opportunity is$58,012.50-$75,075.00.This position is eligible forbonus participation.

Minimum pay rates offered will comply with county/city minimums, if higher than range listed. Pay rates are based on a number of factors, including but not limited to local labor market costs, years of relevant experience, education, professional certifications, foreign language fluency, etc.
