Summary
The Manager, Process & Digitalization is responsible for leading the design, governance, and execution of digital initiatives that drive process efficiency, system adoption, and continuous improvement across the organization. This role oversees the application portfolio roadmap, ensures alignment with business objectives, and provides leadership in delivering seamless rollouts of digital solutions. The Manager partners closely with IT, Operations, Product, and Change Management teams to optimize processes, reduce manual work, and support scalable growth for the freight brokerage business.
Duties and Responsibilities
* Oversee governance of digital processes, technical standards, and integration principles to ensure consistency and compliance across the region.
* Chair governance forums (architecture/release boards) to align priorities, evaluate business cases, and authorize system changes.
* Serve as the escalation point for process or application-related issues, ensuring rapid resolution and cross-functional alignment.
* Own the applications pipeline, including intake, prioritization, and roadmap sequencing.
* Align portfolio roadmap to strategic business objectives and operational performance metrics.
* Manage trade-offs between business-as-usual needs, enhancements, and larger transformational initiatives.
* Lead vendor evaluations, procurement coordination, and lifecycle planning for SaaS and digital System Rollouts & Adoption
* Lead the planning, execution, and stabilization of system implementations and major releases.
* Define and manage cutover plans, rollback strategies, acceptance testing, and cross-functional readiness.
* Drive adoption strategy through stakeholder engagement, training, and communication programs.
* Deliver enablement materials (runbooks, SOPs, quick-reference guides) and provide end-user training.
* Establish and track KPIs for digital initiatives, including automation rates, adoption, process compliance, and time-to-value.
* Use performance insights to drive process improvements, reduce technical debt, and identify opportunities for automation and scalability.
* Maintain a backlog of process optimizations, technical enhancements, and quick-win automation initiatives.
* Partner with Change Management and Business Excellence teams to embed digital solutions into daily operations.
* Work closely with IT, Operations, and Commercial stakeholders to ensure operational feasibility and business alignment.
* Support leadership with transparent reporting on roadmap progress, risks, and resource needs.
* Provide technical and process input into pre-sales or commercial discussions as needed.
Educational background / Work experience
* Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related field required; Master's preferred.
* 7+ years of experience in process governance, application portfolio management, or digital transformation programs.
* Proven success delivering large-scale system rollouts with measurable adoption and performance outcomes.
* Industry experience in transportation, logistics, or freight brokerage strongly preferred.
* Certifications such as ITIL, PMP, Prosci (change), Six Sigma, or cloud/platform certifications are highly desirable.
Skills & Competencies
* Strong understanding of application lifecycle management, release management, and integration fundamentals (APIs, EDI, middleware).
* Proficiency in portfolio and work-management tools (ServiceNow, JIRA, Azure DevOps, Aha!, Smartsheet).
* Familiarity with RPA, low-code/no-code platforms, and enterprise SaaS solutions.
* Skilled in process design and facilitation of improvement workshops.
* Strong analytical mindset with ability to define KPIs, track adoption, and drive data-driven decision-making.
* Demonstrated expertise in change management, training development, and stakeholder communications.
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate between technical and business contexts.
* Collaborative leader who builds alignment across multiple functions and geographies.
Language skills
* Fluent in English (oral and written)
* Spanish language proficiency preferred but not required.

For this position, the expected base pay is: $85,500 - $128,000 / Annual. Actual base compensation will be determined based on various factors including job-related knowledge, geographical location, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations.
