Overview

The Oncology Accreditation Project Manager is responsible for managing and leading oncology accreditations across the Carle Healthcare system, including but not limited to: American College of Radiology (ACR) for Radiation Oncology, Quality Oncology Practice Initiative (QOPI) through the American Society for Clinical Oncology, Commission on Cancer (CoC), National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers (NAPBC), and the National Accreditation Program for Rectal Cancer (NAPRC) through the American College of Surgeons (ACoS). The accreditation manager also works in collaboration with leadership in directing quality improvement projects and other special projects. This position helps to ensure the delivery of outcomes that contribute to quality performance, patient and employee satisfaction, strategic success and financial strength. Elements of success include strong team facilitation, expert written and verbal communication skills, strong data analysis and proficiency in problem solving technique.

Responsibilities

Oncology accreditation and interdisciplinary committee coordination-- works with cancer institute leaders across the healthcare system to ensure their committment to providing comprehensive, high-quality, and multidisciplinary patient centered care.
Demonstrates dedication to improving quality of live for cancer patients through standards-setting, prevention, research, education, and the monitoring of comprehensive quality care.
Collaborates with physicians and team leaders to ensure that the accreditation standards are met for oncology accreditation programs, including but not limited to: American College of Radiology (ACR), Quality Oncology Practice Initiative (QOPI) through the American Society for Clinical Oncology, Commision on Cancer (CoC), National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers (NAPBC), and the National Accreditation Program for Rectal Cancers (NAPRC) through ACoS.
Manages accreditation and interdisciplinary committees and their work to improve the lives of patients with cancer.
Reviews data to measure cancer care quality and to monitor treatment patterns and outcomes.
Leads the development of educational interventions to improve cancer prevention, early detection, cancer care delivery, and outcomes.
Collaborates with accreditation and interdisciplinary committees to ensure the full continuum of cancer--from prevention to survivorship and end-of-life care-- while addressing both survival and quality of life.
Continuously updates documentation of evidence of compliance for relevant standards.
Coordinates the accreditation committee meetings in accordance with ACoS standards and applicable policies.
Collaborates with oncology leadership to develop accreditation meeting agendas.
Works with staff from relevant areas to communicate, monitor and evaluate existing and new developments in accreditation specific standards.
Maintains continuous site readiness in accordance with the ACoS oncology accreditation specific standards through planning, communicating, scheduling, reports, and follow up actions.
Manages action plans and follow up of all oncology accreditations compliance issues, in collaboration with physicians and hospital leadership.
Manages the oncology accreditation site review submission through the accrediting bodies.
Responsible for the timely preparation and maintenance of all related meeting minutes in accordance with ACoS specific standards.
Prepare agenda and PowerPoint presentations for accreditation and interdisciplinary committee meetings and documents the meeting minutes. Oversees the investment in systems aimed toward cancer patients receiving high-quality, coordinated care. Works with accreditation and interdisciplinary committees to ensure supportive services and resources addressing the full continuum of care are available in their communities. Collaborates with accreditation and interdisciplinary committees to compare their quality of care, identify variations, and implement improvements to demonstrate the high quality of care that they provide and their commitment to continuous quality improvement. Plans, directs, and coordinates project plans. Serves as the primary point of contact for projects to which they are assigned. Exercises good judgement in a variety of situations, with strong written and verbal communication, administrative and program management organizational skills. Facilitates the development of new policies and coordinates the review of oncology accreditation polies to ensure compliance with the current accreditation standards. Chairs/participates in committees as assigned.

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation range for this position is $32.21per hour - $55.4per hour. This represents a good faith minimum and maximum range for the role at the time of posting by Carle Health. The actual compensation offered a candidate will be dependent on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate's experience, qualifications, location, training, licenses, shifts worked and compensation model.
