We are looking for top-tier talent to join our workforce, offering competitive compensation and a comprehensive benefits package, which includes:
- Annual compensation between $275,000 - $325,000, PLUS an annual performance-based, discretionary incentive. What You Will Do - Essential Functions The Market Medical Director in Arizona will serve as a key member of the Emcara Health clinical leadership team, shaping the clinical roadmap for regional care delivery. Working closely with the Director of Care Delivery, this senior leader will drive local care solutions to achieve the Quadruple Aim, collaborating internally across functions and with payer clients. The role requires a hands-on, high-energy approach to design, implement, and improve innovative care models for vulnerable populations with complex chronic illnesses. Additionally, the Market Medical Director must be ready to step into direct patient care as needed while providing strong leadership across critical operational and clinical areas. Leadership & Team Development
- Build and grow a high-performing primary care practice, mentoring and coaching advanced practice providers and complex care physicians.
- Partner with Talent Acquisition and local leadership to recruit and orient clinicians to a value-based care model, emphasizing home-based care and consideration of behavioral health and social determinants of health.
Clinical Oversight & Patient Care
- Deliver data-driven clinical oversight of multidisciplinary teams, ensuring high-quality, coordinated, and timely patient care both in-home and in the community.
- Lead clinical education, quality improvement initiatives, and ensure accurate documentation while supporting adherence to high-touch care delivery standards.
Operational & Strategic Performance
- Collaborate with operational leaders to meet market-level goals, including the quadruple aim metrics, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Partner with local health plans, risk-bearing providers, and business development initiatives to drive practice growth and ensure alignment with joint clinical goals.
Who You Are
- Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited medical school
- Public health, business administration, or health administration studies preferred
- Board Certified in Internal Medicine, Medicine/Pediatrics, or Family Practice
- At least three years of post-residency clinical experience delivering care to complex patients preferred, including in the home and skilled nursing facility settings. Recent or current experience as a hospitalist physician preferred
- Strong knowledge of best clinical practices as they relate to population health management, particularly in the urgent and post-acute care settings
- Must be skilled in delivering care across medical, behavioral, and social needs, particularly for patients living with mental illness and substance use disorders
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate both internally and externally with multi-disciplinary care team members
- Active medical license in the indicated State, or ability to obtain one within 90 days
- Must have current state and federal DEA certification
- Current Certification in AHA or ARC Basic Life Support for health care providers
- Working knowledge of computers and ability to document effectively and efficiently in an electronic medical record system
- Ability to pass background check upon hire and throughout employment to include criminal felony & misdemeanor search, SSN validation/trace search (LEIE), education report (highest degree obtained), civil upper and lower search, 7-year employment report, federal criminal search, statewide criminal search, widescreen plus national criminal search, health care sanctions-state med (SAM), national sex offender registry, prohibited parties (OFAC) (terrorist watchlist), and a 10-Panel Drug Screen.

- Working Conditions:
- Ability to lift and carry up to 20 lb
- Ability to sit, stand, bend, and/or kneel to perform assessments.
- Additional demands include constant ability to remain in a stationary position, moving about inside and outside of member homes, navigating stairs and a variety of dwelling conditions, ability to communicate and exchange information with others, ability to inspect information, ability to perform repetitive motion with arms and fingers, and drive to and from member homes.
- Mental demands include constant ability to interpret data, problem solve, make decisions, and organize and plan.
- Work is performed in member homes and potentially exposed to adverse environmental conditions.
