As a Procurement Specialist, you will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and managing contracts, ensuring compliance with industry regulations. Your expertise will directly impact the company's bottom line and contribute to its continued success. This is an exciting opportunity to leverage your analytical and negotiation skills in a fast-paced environment. NOTE: This is an on-going hourly assignment with the intent to convert in the future. The pay rate is $45/hr-$55/hr W2. This position is on-site four days a week starting in October. As a Procurement Specialist, you will: Spearhead cross-functional sourcing and contracting initiatives, including developing requests for proposals (RFx) and conducting thorough contract analysis.
Skillfully negotiate contracts, securing buy-in from cross-functional stakeholders, including legal, information systems, vendor compliance management, and other business leaders.
Effectively plan, schedule, and execute activities to achieve project objectives.
Oversee the review, approval, and purchasing processes for assigned commodity categories.
Utilize the company's contract management system to archive contracts, approve purchase requisitions, and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to resolve issues. Must-Have Qualifications: 4-7 years of experience in procurement sourcing and contracting
Strong analytical and negotiation skills
Proficiency in using enterprise resource planning (ERP) or purchasing systems such as PeopleSoft, Oracle, SAP, or Ariba
Demonstrated expertise in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Nice-to-Have Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in a related field
Experience with Microsoft Project or Visio (or similar programs)
