Summary


The HR Manager is a strategic business partner responsible for aligning business objectives with employees and management in the Food Division. This role serves as a consultant to leadership on HR issues, employee experience, and organizational effectiveness while championing talent acquisition, employee relations, performance management, compliance oversight, and data-driven HR initiatives. The HR Manager is an employee advocate, change agent, and trusted advisor with strong business acumen.



Responsibilities



Strategic HR Partnership



  • Partners with leadership and consults with management to provide HR guidance, policy interpretation, and business-aligned solutions.
  • Leads organizational design initiatives, including department restructures, workforce planning, and succession planning
  • Develops and implements employee experience strategies to enhance engagement, productivity, and retention
  • Utilizes HR analytics and workforce data to drive informed decision-making
  • Manages end-to-end talent acquisition, including recruiting, candidate experience, and digital recruitment strategies
  • Oversees staffing activities, including sourcing, recruiting, onboarding, and ensuring a strong candidate pipeline.


  • Identifies training and development needs through data analysis and stakeholder consultation
  • Supports change management initiatives and organizational transformation projects
  • Promotes diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging (DEIB) programs



Employee Relations & Compliance



  • Manages and resolves complex employee relations issues while conducting thorough, objective investigations
  • Provides performance management guidance, including coaching, career development, and disciplinary actions
  • Builds positive work relationships and fosters a culture that supports engagement, productivity, and retention.
  • Implements conflict resolution and mediation strategies


  • Maintains current knowledge of federal and state employment laws, ensuring regulatory compliance and minimizing legal risks
  • Ensures adherence to safety, harassment prevention, and anti-discrimination policies

  • Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines, including compensation practices, organizational design, employee relations, performance management, and federal and state employment laws
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to translate HR initiatives into business impact

  • Advanced cultural and emotional intelligence
  • High integrity with the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.



Requirements



  • Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree or additional coursework in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field strongly preferred
  • Minimum of five (5) years of progressive experience in human resources, including generalist or management responsibilities
  • Minimum of three (3) years leading HR staff
  • Experience with HRIS systems, applicant tracking, learning management, and performance management platforms.
  • Professional HR certification (SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR) required
  • Additional certifications in change management, project management, or DEIB are highly valued
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including advanced Excel and PowerPoint presentation development
  • Experience with social media recruiting and digital talent acquisition tools
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to influence and partner across all organizational levels
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with a collaborative, team-oriented approach
  • Proven experience in crisis management, conflict resolution, and problem-solving in complex organizational settings
