Mortgage Loan Processor II

Responsible for performing duties relating to mortgage loan processing activities. Responsible for receiving, reviewing, and validating new loan applications to determine approval to process. Ensures that all required documentation/disclosures have been or are properly requested pursuant to FLFCU procedures, investor, State and Federal regulatory requirements. Obtains proof of insurance as required on mortgage loans. Obtains and verifies all necessary information and prepares documents for final underwriting and closing review. Arranges flood zone certification as required. Communicates appropriate information to the appropriate parties. Assists or refers members as necessary. Responsible for providing administrative support for mortgage loan closing activities. Reviews closing documents and reports, schedules closing appointments with title companies, and assists members with questions. Ensures pre-closing and closing documents are complete. Facilitates loan funding and ensures executed loans are transferred to the loan servicing area. Provides support to mortgage operations personnel and distributes loan files to related departments within the credit union.

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:

2 years of college or equivalent years of experience.

Preferred - Bachelor's degree related in business or finance.

All FLFCU employees who act as a Processor are required to register with the NMLS or be registered on behalf of FLFCU, obtain a unique identifier, and maintain their registration current in accordance with the SAFE Act and FLFCU Policy. Registration must be attained within thirty (30) days of hire and maintained annually thereafter.

FLFCU Annual Processor Recertification is required.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:Three (3) years of mortgage processing experience.
