PSG is a community-based social services organization seeking talented professionals like you to join our Waukesha Safety and Family Engagement (SAFE) Program team.

JOB SUMMARY:

The SAFE program supports families who are referred to our services by the Waukesha County Child and Family Services Department. As the Safety Services Worker, you will work closely with families to maintain safety in homes where children are at risk for removal or who are in the process of reunification. SAFE programming addresses a wide range of concerns, including: safety, parenting, household management, nutrition, safe and stable housing, education, employment, medical needs, mental health, and/or substance abuse issues.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE SAFETY SERVICES WORKER:



  • Evaluate youth and families for treatment needs and refer to appropriate resources.
  • Analyze client histories, capabilities, and needs to determine services needed to address safety concerns.
  • Implement, evaluate, and review safety assessments and plans.
  • Conduct face-to-face contact with families to ensure safety and cooperation with the safety plan.
  • Serve as part of the Safety Team.
  • Safely transport clients as needed.
  • Exercise judgment to intervene as an advocate for clients in emergency and crisis situations.


LOCATION: Waukesha, WI. Local travel is required to meet with families at home or other community spaces, with mileage reimbursement.

SCHEDULE: Full-time 40 hours per week Monday-Friday. Rotating three-week weekend schedule, with time flexed off during the week that a weekend shift is assigned.

SALARY: $22.00 per hour

REQUIREMENTS:


  • Must have reliable transportation on a daily basis, a valid driver's license, and automobile insurance.
  • Must have a Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Criminal Justice, or related.
