Core Responsibilities:



  • Lead a team to execute Quality activities that support the production floor for root cause analysis of non-conformances that effect Quality and Cell Metrics
  • Train new employees including Quality Engineers, Inspectors, and Quality Orientation for new hires.
  • Work with global customers on inquiries, nonconformances and first article approvals.
  • Transition new parts into production, working with engineering, manufacturing and the quality New Product Development Team.
  • Assures all articles are processed IAW current and approved technical data. This data will include manufactures' overhaul manuals, service bulletins, parts specifications, related FAA approved data and other technical data used by the repair station.
  • Execute on the review of process changes and determine the effect to the customer or regulatory body.
  • Review Quality metrics for the assigned project line to develop and implement actions for improvement.
  • Assure Processes and Gages meet the required Quality Management System Statistical requirements.
  • Perform Continuous Improvement activities, including Lean Activities that may include: Kaizen Events, GEMBA Walks, TPM Events and 3P Events.
  • Perform quality audits of processes, products and workstations within the Company.
  • Lead and participate in Root Cause and Corrective Action activities for both internal and external findings.
  • Make decisions that could cause/prevent program delays and affect costs and overall system quality.
  • Interface with other functional roles with the business as needed
  • Perform Return to Service inspections and complete associated paperwork.


Qualifications:



  • Three years of related experience in manufacturing environment, preferably in an overhaul and repair environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to interact with all levels of employees, suppliers and customers.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with team environment.
  • Expertise in Computer Drafting (AutoCAD, SolidWorks) is a differentiator.
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing methodology (6-sigma, 5-S, Continuous Improvement) a plus.
  • Ability to write, read and speak English.
  • Computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access.
  • Have uncompromising integrity.
  • Must have unrestricted authorization to work in the U.S.


Education Requirements:

  • BS degree in a technical field (engineering, manufacturing/industrial technology or 2 years equivalent experience in a manufacturing or aerospace environment).
