The main focus of this position is to lead a support staff from multiple workgroups in the pursuit of flawless quality performance as viewed by our customers. This requires an excellent understanding of customer requirements, governing specifications, and quality system framework. Must be able to assess system gaps between TTM, our suppliers and customers, and governing bodies to ensure compliance to expectations. Developing a team that has the ability to engage with manufacturing to promote compliance and best-methods is crucial. Effective communication with Suppliers, Purchasing, Production Control, Sales, Engineering, Operations and site management is key to acceptable performance in this position.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage, coordinate, facilitate and provide leadership to critical functions of the Quality Systems workgroup:
  • Documentation ,Records, Corrective Action administration
  • Calibration
  • Internal / External Audit - ISO
  • Compliance - ITAR, export
  • Supplier quality
  • Lead role as Compliance Officer and subject matter expert for ITAR, import/export, and all other regulatory requirements. Requires collaboration with all TTM sites.
  • Direct the activities of engineering and other technical resources in the evaluation, disposition, and corrective action surrounding system level gaps and errors, both internally and from our suppliers.
  • Lead technical support staff in troubleshooting internal and external failures to assess root cause and liability.
  • Manage Customer Corrective Action activities by utilizing and teaching effective investigation, writing and communication skills to be used consistently by the workgroup.
  • Plan, develop and manage the departmental budget.
  • Develop and utilize Quality reporting metrics and tools to drive financial improvement through increased product yield.
  • Work directly with external customers and support groups to ensure that customer requirements are understood and met.
  • Provide analysis and reporting as required, and ensure communication of departmental key metrics related to safety, quality, delivery and cost.
  • Manage employee relations issues, and assist employees in the resolution of problems.
  • Support and facilitate organizational change initiatives.
  • Act as a key influencing factor on the plant's leadership team.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelors degree in a technical discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred.
  • Minimum of five years of experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
  • Previous experience in a supervisory role is preferred.

Compensation for roles at TTM Technologies varies depending on a wide array of factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set and level of experience. As required by local law, TTM provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that my be hired in New York, California and Colorado. For California-based roles, compensation ranges are based upon specific physical locations.

Must comply with TTM Export Control Policies and Procedures and all applicable laws including ITAR, EAR and OFAC including but not limited to: a) being able to identify ITAR product on the manufacturing floor and understand that access to these products and related technical data is restricted to only US Citizens and US Permanent Residents; b) recognition ofForeign Person visitors by badge differentiation; c) understand and follow authorization procedures for bringing foreign visitors into facilities (VAL); d) understand the Export and ITAR requirements for shipments leaving the US; e) manage vendor approvals for ITAR manufacturing and services.
