As a Maintenance Repairman 2, you will employ diligent project management skills to create rough plans, estimate material quantities, specify parts and materials for purchase, select proper tools and equipment, and prepare all materials for assigned projects. You will be responsible for conducting a range of bridge assignments such as rebar tying, pouring concrete, building forms, and waterproofing. You will also participate in measuring, cutting, and nailing lumber for a variety of construction projects; pouring and finishing concrete; and building railings, stairs, partitions, ramps, shelves, inlets, or other similar structures. Assignments will involve the use of a variety of both motorized and non-motorized hand tools such as shovels, rakes, hammers, chain saws, compressors, jack hammers, tampers, hand mowers, and trimmers. This position also provides assistance with winter maintenance tasks as necessary.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

• Full-time employment
• Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
• Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
• Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

• Two years of experience as a Maintenance Repairman 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
• Four years of experience in building and plant maintenance work, which has involved at least two of the building, electrical, or mechanical trades; or
• Any equivalent combination of experience and training that affords the applicant with the Required Knowledges, Skills, and Abilities.

Special Requirements:

• This position requires possession of a valid Pennsylvania Class C Driver's License.
