GENERAL FUNCTION

The Sr. Manager of Business Development for Government Programs will drive growth for EyeMed's Medicaid line of business by developing market entry strategies, cultivating new opportunities, and supporting go-to-market execution. This role will partner closely with internal stakeholders, including marketing, implementation, and EyeMed leadership, to design and deploy solutions that position EyeMed competitively in the Medicaid marketplace. By focusing on business development and strategic expansion, the Sr. Manager will play a key role in accelerating growth and advancing organizational objectives.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Identify and pursue new Medicaid market opportunities by assessing white space, analyzing state requirements, and developing market entry strategies.
  • Represent the organization at industry conferences and events to strengthen visibility, build strategic relationships, and identify prospective partners.
  • Partner with marketing and communications to design targeted engagement strategies, including proposals, presentations, and thought leadership collateral tailored to prospective clients.
  • Lead development of tailored business cases and proposals, integrating market intelligence, regulatory requirements, and financial modeling.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to design scalable solutions aligned with Medicaid program requirements and long-term growth objectives.
  • Support Medicaid market implementations as the primary subject matter expert, serving as the main contact for internal and external stakeholders; gather requirements, communicate expectations, provide input, and escalate risks..
  • Maintain effective communication with internal business partners and external stakeholders through structured meetings, calls, and reporting.
  • Monitor the competitive environment, evaluate emerging trends, and recommend best practices and innovative strategies to inform future Medicaid market direction



BASIC QUALIFICATIONS



  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 8+ years of experience working with Medicaid Managed Care organizations
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to analyze data and develop business insights; experience working with large and complex data sets within large organizations
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
  • Ability to build strong working relationships across all levels, internally and externally
  • Willingness to travel 25-50%



PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS



  • MBA
  • Experience with CRM systems, preferably Salesforce.com
  • Strong negotiation skills and experience gaining stakeholder alignment


Employee pay is determined by multiple factors, including geography, experience, qualifications, skills and local minimum wage requirements.
