Please note that this position is contingent upon the successful award of a contract currently under bid. Dedicated to serving those who defend the US and warfighters, Nisga'a MOSTT offers Military Operations support and Specialized Tactical Training (MOSTT). Nisga'a MOSTT's services include aviation and military training, cybersecurity, intelligence gathering and analysis, and simulation and exercise support, as well as aviation flight logistics support and unmanned aerial vehicle support. Summary: Goldbelt Nisga'a MOSTT, Inc. is looking for a Warrant Officer Wheeled Vehicle Instructor.
Responsibilities
Essential Job Functions:
Providing performance-oriented training using the Training and Doctrine Command (TRADOC) approved Program of Instruction (POI).
- Provided classroom training and/or hands-on performance-oriented training as well as simulation/virtual training. Specific tasks IAW governing regulations and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
- Instructors are required to evaluate students' performance by verifying the students understanding of the course material, competency of learned skills, and the student's ability to demonstrate applied knowledge.
- Maintains regular class schedule.
- Adheres to a zero-tolerance policy of inappropriate language at all times.
- Manages a safe, comfortable training environment, ensures sufficient materials are available, and resolves disruptive student behavior.
Qualifications
Necessary Skills and Knowledge:
- Understand electronic control module logic, as well as principle/theory of Controller Area Network Data Bus (CAN/BUS) network. T
- Possess knowledge of the 2500, 3700, and 4500 series Allison transmission, advanced knowledge of Caterpillar 3126B, C7 engines, as well as the Banks engine, and knowledge of nitrogen charge suspension components, as well as Height Management System (HMS).
- Shall have the ability to troubleshoot and repair field level faults that are identified on Family of Medium Tactical Vehicle (FMTV), Heavy Expanded Mobility Tactical Truck (HEMTT A4), and Joint Light Tactical Vehicle (JLTV) trainers.
- Capable of controlling the discipline of the class
- Demonstrates a high level of professional management in performing training activities and facilitating classroom environments all times.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Minimum five (5) years' experience in 91A, 91B, 91M or 91S MOS' as evidenced by possessing one (1) of the following:
- A certificate in the aforementioned 91 series MOS
- A DD Form 214 that states trained in the aforementioned 91 Series MOS
- Minimum three (3) years each of technical and tactical experience on the following platforms: Medium Tactical Vehicle (MTV), Palletized Load System (PLS), as well as High Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled Vehicle (HMMWV) family of vehicles to include the suspension systems, steering systems, hydraulic systems, fire extinguisher/suppression systems and vehicular armament and associated items.
- Shall have experience at the level of SGT or above; WOBC Graduate preferred.)
- Shall be able to lead students through electrical schematic trace of cranking circuit on multiple platforms.
- All Contract LNCOA Instructors shall have a record of prior military service consisting of at least four (4) years of prior military service and been honorably discharged or currently serving as a National Guard or United States Army Reserves (USAR) Warrant Officer (WO) or Senior NCO.
- Must have completed and be able to provide documentation of completion of ALC and SLC in the MOS they are instructing or the Warrant Officer (WO) Basic Course that has a feeder MOS into that field. LNCOA instructor will be required to instruct at the ALC and SLC level of instruction for the MOS's they are qualified to instruct.
