North State Bank has an exciting opportunity for a Lockbox Support Specialist located in our North Raleigh Operations center. The Lockbox Support Specialist reconciles assigned accounts, images and processes deposit support and lockbox related documents. Supports and backs-up the daily operational activities of the lockbox department and Supervisor.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Opens, and performs maintenance on, new checking, savings, and cd accounts for CommunityPLUS division.
  • Provides daily support to CommunityPLUS customers and ensures their accounting needs are handled in a timely and professional manner.
  • Works daily online and after hour messages from customers and forwards to appropriate offices.
  • Reviews NSF and Overdraft for CommunityPLUS division
  • Monitors and reconciles various internal accounts for the Bank, including various Lockbox clearing accounts.
  • Assists with customer research and support as needed.
  • Coordinates CDARs and ICS orders for CommunityPLUS customers. Ensures orders are placed accurately and timely.
  • Ensures ACH Files are processed under dual control of the Electronic Banking Specialist.
  • Reviews new account reports for CommunityPLUS Division to ensure proper decisions and forms have been completed accurately.
  • Analyzes billing for CommunityPlus Division & medical lockbox services.
  • Provides system-related cash management support to internal and external customers. Includes but not limited to Online and Mobile Banking, Bill Pay, Remote Deposit Capture and Estatement support.
  • Reviews deposits processed via Mobile Banking and Remote Deposit Capture and forwards to the appropriate office for review
  • Assists and provides backup support for the Electronic Banking & Payments Supervisor.
  • Provides back-up support for Lockbox Operators and additional Support Specialists.
  • Other projects and tasks assigned.

Qualifications (Includes education, certifications, experience, etc.):

  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Three to five years of relevant experience in a banking institution.
  • Possess a thorough understanding of applicable banking laws, regulations, policies and procedures.
  • Possess a working knowledge of banking operations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word.
