We're seeking a Product Design Lead with a track record of shaping consumer-facing and B2B digital products through both vision and craft. This is a senior individual contributor role, ideal for someone who thrives in ambiguity, thinks in systems, and sweats the details. You'll operate as a close partner to the Head of Experience Design, helping to drive design quality and strategic coherence across critical workstreams.

This role is based in San Francisco and requires strong on-site presence. You'll be a visible design leader within the SF studio, someone who can guide direction, unblock teams, and be hands on.

Key tasks and responsibilities

  • Translate complex product requirements into intuitive, elegant interfaces
  • Drive end-to-end design strategy, from concept framing to final visual execution
  • Shape and evolve the design system to support scale and consistency
  • Collaborate tightly with PM, engineering, and industrial design to deliver integrated solutions
  • Lead design critiques, mentor junior designers, and model excellence across craft, communication, and process

Key interfaces: Product Management, Engineering, Industrial Design, R&D and Marketing

Key Responsibilities:

  • 6+ years of product design experience, with multiple shipped digital products
  • Strong portfolio showcasing interaction design, systems thinking, and pixel-perfect execution
  • Fluency in Figma, prototyping tools, and storytelling through visuals
  • Experience navigating cross-functional teams and driving clarity in ambiguous environments
  • Deep understanding of accessibility, responsive design, and platform patterns

You have:

  • Strategic mindset paired with hands-on craft excellence
  • High standards and attention to detail, can push and polish
  • Comfortable leading by influence without formal management authority
  • Skilled at framing decisions and articulating design trade-offs
  • Presence and confidence to represent design in senior conversations
