Additionally, Applied Industrial Technologies and the Applied Fluid Power network of companies has one of the largest teams of Certified Fluid Power Specialists, Certified Electronic Control Specialists and Certified Fluid Power Mechanics to assist with problem solving, system building, troubleshooting, and other custom requirements.

Seeking skilled individuals with mechanical aptitude for assembly and testing of hydraulic equipment.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

  • Building and assembling hydraulic equipment
    • Will need to be able to assemble hydraulic hoses and fluid conducting lines (tubes, pipes, etc.)
  • Assembly including assembling and testing of hose, pipe, and valve assemblies
  • Visually verifies assembly compliance to customer and company specifications.
  • Maintain all work areas in a neat and orderly condition. Detect and report all faulty equipment, defective materials, improper operations and unusual conditions to manager. Observe all prescribed safety rules and regulations.
  • Job duties are subject to change as directed by management.

Essential Requirements:

  • Must be able to read and interpret schematics and layout drawings
  • Must be able to use a variety of hand tools and fabrication equipment (drill presses, saws, crimp machines)
  • Good mechanical aptitude
  • Attention to detail
  • Good communication skills
  • Excellent math and mechanical skills
  • Self-started that can take direction and is willing to learn.
  • Willing to help in other areas of department as necessary
  • Must be able to lift objects weighing up to 75lbs
  • Must be able to stand, kneel, and walk for long periods of time
  • Must have clean background and be able to pass both a pre-employment & random drug test(s)

Preferred Education/Experience:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalentrequired, Technical Certifications preferred
  • 1-3 year's previous shop experience desired; experience with welding preferred but not required (Mig welding preferred)
  • Electrical wiring a plus
  • Basic computer proficiency required, namely the ability to operate Microsoft Office products
  • Clean driving record
