We foster an inclusive culture and are looking for diverse, talented people to join Alcon. As a Sr. Manager, Health, Safety & Environment Management supporting the U.S. MTO Safety Team in Fort Worth, TX, a typical day will include:

  • Leadership & Stewardship - Review and report to site management new or existing regulatory requirements and corporate policies/programs and associated impacts.

  • Review and develop HSE policies in line with legislation.

  • Develops systems and tools for site leaders to use to ensure compliance with all pertinent HSE regulations, HSE guidelines, HSE standards, permits, statutes, local ordinances and/or other externally driven requirements.

  • Develops and drives incident response procedures and guides leaders in effective implementation of the procedures.

  • Develops and drives the risk management program for the site.

  • Ensures goals/targets are achieved within agreed-upon timelines.

  • Ensures that audit-generated action items or agency-generated findings at the site are closed within the agreed-upon timelines and in a manner which prevents recurrence.

  • Prepares and submits all reports, as required by external agencies and by Alcon internal data collection processes, in a complete and accurate manner within agreed upon timelines.

  • Be a role model and encourage the company's Values ethos at all levels in the organization.

  • Assigned documents, programs and systems meet externally driven compliance requirement as assessed by the appropriate external agencies during inspection, report reviews, analytical data.

  • Assigned portions of the Alcon HSE Programs are fully implemented, as assessed by internal and external audits.

  • All site HSE indicators or program goals/targets are achieved within agreed-upon timelines.

  • All audit-generated action items or agency-generated findings at the site are closed within the agreed-upon timelines and in a manner which prevents recurrence.

  • Assigned reports, as required by external agencies and by Alcon internal data collection processes, are completed accurately within agreed upon timelines.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO ALCON:

  • Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent years of directly related experience (or high school+15 yrs; Assoc.+11 yrs; M.S.+4 yrs; PhD+3 yrs)

  • The ability to fluently read, write, understand and communicate in English.

  • 7 Years of Relevant Experience

  • Location: Onsite

  • Travel: 5%

  • Relocation: Yes
