The Rutgers Division of Intercollegiate Athletics sponsors 24 intercollegiate sports, comprised of 14 women's and 10 men's programs, that compete at the Division I level. The Scarlet Knights are members of the prestigious Big Ten Conference, the nation's premier academic and athletic conference, after officially joining the league on July 1, 2014. Known as "The Birthplace of College Football, Rutgers hosted Princeton on Nov. 6, 1869 in the first intercollegiate football game, with RU earning a 6-4 victory. |

Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking a Production Assistant for Athletics Events - Operations.
Among the key duties of the position are the following:
- Assists with production of live broadcasts for B1G+/Student U at Rutgers Athletics events. Assists student crews, talent and athletic staff to produce broadcasts for Big Ten Network platforms.
- Acts as an alternate producer for broadcasts during multi-sport conflicts on campus
- Assists with training and scheduling of student workers.
- Assists with setup/production of live events at Rutgers Athletics venues, which includes parking/powering production trailer, cabling and equipment setup.
- Assists with shooting, streaming and editing press conferences and highlight packages posted to website and social media.
- Assists with production requests from Big Ten Network, including remote studio operation.
- Assists production technicians for video board events at stadium and arena.
- Acts as a fill-in crew member, as needed, for gameday video board productions.

$20 - $25/hourly |

Qualifications
Minimum Education and Experience |
- High School diploma or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.

Certifications/Licenses |
- A valid driver's license would be required for this position, and access to a reliable vehicle or other dependable means of transportation.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities |
- Knowledge of Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects and Photoshop.
- Ability to work under time constraints and meet assigned deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications |
- Bachelor's degree in journalism, broadcasting, communications or a related field.
- Experience in any or all of the following: working in a NCAA Division I Athletic Department or equivalent professional level, in EFP/remote sports production, equipment setup and troubleshooting and with broadcast-quality cameras and Viz RT/Trio character generators.
