Job Summary: The Crew Lead - DAS will act as the on-site coordinator and crew supervisor for a variety of field service functions. The Crew Lead will participate in and supervise installation of antennas, repeaters, head-end equipment, and other DAS devices as well as complete sweep, PIM and fiber testing. The Crew Lead's task will be to ensure job completion according to company and customer quality and safety requirements while maintaining the efficiency of the staff assigned to the project. Job Duties and Responsibilities: 1. The Crew Lead - DAS will consistently run major project crews; assume responsibility for effective performance and provide necessary training; assume responsibility for adherence to Company and customer safety and quality guidelines and hold weekly safety meetings; initiate performance-related communications and escalate to Project Manager if necessary. 2. The Crew Lead - DAS coordinates with Project Manager/Project Lead to ensure productivity, job completion and compliance with project budget. 3. The Crew Lead - DAS fully completes all IES Communications, LLC. and project paperwork accurately and on time (specifically timesheets, material transfers, work orders, change orders, tool transfers and others as required). 4. The Crew Lead - DAS will commission and optimize a variety of DAS and signal booster equipment for public safety installations utilizing manufacturer's procedures and field equipment such as spectrum analyzers, signal generators, and power meters. 5. Conduct Pre & Post install RF signal readings per fire code requirements utilizing spectrum analyzer and/or two-way radios. 6. Perform cable sweep testing (VSWR, RL, DTF, PIM) utilizing test equipment. 7. The Crew Lead - DAS serves as main on-site customer contact for questions and/or concerns; attend facility and construction meetings when required. 8. The Crew Lead - DAS performs work consistently demonstrating a detailed level of technical knowledge; troubleshoot and resolve technical issues as they arise. 9. The Crew Lead - DAS will complete other responsibilities as assigned. Min USD $35.00/Hr. Max USD $50.00/Hr. Qualifications Physical and Mental Requirements: * The Crew Lead - DAS must be self-motivated, positive in approach, professional and help create, develop and implement project process improvement(s). * The Crew Lead - DAS must promote the Company culture and mission to all employees, vendors, clients and business partners. Crew Lead - DAS Revised IES Job Description Proprietary and Confidential * The Crew Lead - DAS must be able to act as the Company liaison for interface with customer representative(s). * The Crew Lead - DAS must possess proven problem-solving skills, critical thinking skills and the ability to effectively read, write and give oral presentation(s). * The Crew Lead - DAS must be able to work at heights, off a ladder and in confined spaces, lift up to 50 pounds and move up to 75 pounds. * Must be able to stand and walk large jobsites regularly * The Crew Lead - DAS must be able to see and distinguish different colors, read small print and hear and recognize audible signals such as dial tones. * The Crew Lead - DAS must be able to travel within the branch territory and/or regional territory as needed. * Regular attendance is mandatory Education, Certification, License, and Skill Requirements: Must possess a minimum of three (3) years training experience or related role. Prefer a minimum of five (5) years project management experience in telecommunications, electrical or a related technical or construction field. Prefer a BICSI certified trainer Must have demonstrated knowledge of job costing, job planning, quality management, safety training and contract administration. Must be proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and MS Project). Must meet Company minimum driving standards. High School diploma or equivalent Working knowledge of instructional design and adult learning theory practice preferred Must be able to effectively use basic hand tools: screwdriver (regular and Phillips), torpedo level, tape measure, snips (with belt sheath), and pliers (needle nose and channel locks), crescent wrench, sewing (stitching) needle, cable sheers, flush cutting pliers, multi-meter and rubber mallet (gray). Highly knowledgeable of materials, methods, and the tools involved in the commercial construction industry. Ability to determine the kind of tools and equipment needed to do a job. Possess good knowledge of arithmetic, algebra, geometry and their application.
