Job Description

As the Technical Enablement Consultant you will elevate the focus of our Rockwell ITD solutions offerings. Technical Enablement focuses on the success of the global technical selling organization by defining technical sales strategies, providing competency programs, developing technical messaging and material, and implementing modern technical enablement processes.

You will support the development and delivery of global technical sales enablement programs for our pre-sales Rockwell Domain Experts (solution, industry, industrial automation, and technology consultants, as well as business lead roles) and partners (Distributors, System Integrators, OEMs, EPCs), with a primary focus on the Intelligent Devices (ITD) business.

You will work with the extended Enablement team (across global regions), ITD business units, Marketing, and various other groups to build strategy, guide development, and deliver effective technical enablement and competency programs. These programs will strongly focus on enhancing Domain Experts' ability to engage our customers at all levels of their organizations and tie our solutions, products and technologies to achieve customers' operational and financial business outcomes. You will report to the Manager, Technical Enablement and have a hybrid schedule working in either Milwaukee, WI or Mayfield Heights, OH.

Your Responsibilities:
  • Define, Design, Create, and Deliver. Lead the design, delivery, effectiveness, and continuous improvement of technical enablement content for technical pre-sales teams.
    • Workshop with technical sales experts and product management to understand key market differentiators, technical pre-sales knowledge gaps, and understand critical interfaces between products that amplify value for our customers.
    • Lead and collaborate with the team to design, develop, and deliver technical skills programs and training, including tools and processes to enable Domain Experts with the process.
  • Collaborate and communicate. Regular engagement and interaction with domain expert teams and leadership, regional Enablement teams, and our businesses is paramount to ensure we understand the perspectives of our stakeholders. Collaboration with technical competency teams (RAU) and commercial portfolio engineering teams is also a large part of creating programs to support Domain Experts.
  • Drive change, adoption, measurement, and continuous improvement. Talk to stakeholders about what went well and what didn't to assess program strengths, analyze program risks, and identify areas for improvement.
The Essentials - You Will Have:
  • Bachelor's degree in business, engineering or a technical discipline, or equivalent years of relevant experience
  • Legal authorization to work in the US is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening.

  • Proven success in creation and execution of technical enablement strategies or materials
  • Solid understanding of the role of technical sales enablement in modern sales organizations
  • Ability to sell ideas and present strategies at a leadership/executive level
  • Proven stakeholder management skills
What We Offer:
