What You'll Do

ECS is offering an exciting opportunity for a dynamic leader to join our Mid-Atlantic Facilities team in Hanover, MD. In this role, you'll oversee projects related to building enclosure consulting, structural systems, due diligence and/or building code compliance. If you have a strong technical background, and proven leadership skills, we want to hear from you. The successful candidate will work primarily in the Greater Baltimore region and across the mid-Atlantic states. You will be actively engaged in working with senior leaders in developing local and regional business strategy for creating new service lines, innovation initiatives, recruiting, and client development.

  • Consulting services for the built environment including, but not limited to, specialized building enclosure and/or structural testing, building enclosure and/or structural consulting, forensic investigations, property condition assessments, and design of repairs to existing structures
  • Primary responsibilities include providing technical expertise and supporting Facilities staff within the region
  • Overseeing projects related to:
    • Building enclosure testing, assessment and commissioning
    • Structural forensic investigations and analysis
    • Poperty Condition Assessments (PCAs), Facility Condition Assessments (FCAs) and asset management consulting
    • Third-party code compliance inspections and plan review
  • Performing technical report reviews
  • Preparing and reviewing proposals
  • Business development and assisting other staff in marketing our services by maintaining and developing client interactions
  • Leading and coaching junior staff members
  • Performing responsibilities at regional level

What We're Looking For

  • BS or MS in Civil Engineering Architecture (NCARB), Civil (Structural) Engineering, or Architectural Engineering preferred
  • 8+ years of relevant professional experience
  • Licensed or certified as at least one of the following:
    • Professional Engineer (P.E.), Registered Architect (R.A.), International Institute of Building Enclosure Consultants (IIBEC) offered RRC, RWC, REWC, RBEC, CBECxP, University of Wisconsin-Madison offered BECxP and CxA+BE

The expected pay range for this role and location is $105,000 - $150,000/year. The final agreed-upon compensation will be determined based on specific location and other individual qualifications.
