Mechanic C is responsible for keeping machines and tools in good working conditions to enhance efficiency and prevent malfunctions that could lead to costly repairs. The associate performs maintenance, repair and service activities on equipment with minimal technical assistance from experienced-level associates. Shift: Day Shift 6:00am - 2:30pm (Monday through Friday) Responsibilities:
- Demonstrates general understandings of industrial safety practices and regulations such as: LOTO procedures, fall protection, personal protective equipment, and all other mandatory safety procedures related to the job.
- Understands and applies theory of operation to machine and auxiliary equipment
- Uses Root Cause Analysis to investigate operational errors and recommends corrective action where needed for a positive result
- Cleans and lubricates machinery, performs basic diagnostic tests, checks machine performance, and tests damaged machine parts to determine whether machine repairs are necessary
- Performs effective and efficient equipment changeover
- Performs preventive maintenance repairs and/or emergency repairs to production equipment
- As the Intermediate Level Mechanic, they are responsible for:
- Electrical: Perform scheduled preventive maintenance activities on equipment. Trouble shoot and repair Line equipment. Support customers by effectively interfacing with customer in repairing equipment as needed. Troubleshoot and repair electrical equipment. Evaluate and make recommendations regarding required repairs and maintenance able to replace and re-wire electrical motors.
- Electronics: Have a basic understanding of troubleshooting, repair and replace electronic components such as: relays, contractors, switches, encoders, proximity, sensors, etc. o Mechanical: Repair and replace broken machine components. Perform preventative maintenance and inspect parts for signs of excessive wear or damage. Repairs, modifies and/or replaces parts on all production and facility equipment
- Pneumatic/Hydraulic: Maintains, replaces and repairs all pneumatic/hydraulic equipment, troubleshoot faults that occur in electrical devices associated with pneumatic/Hydraulic equipment systems
- Plant Systems: Monitor and maintain Boilers, Air Compressors, Air Conditioning, Dust Collectors, and other plant utility systems. Identify energy loss and correct issues
- Additional Trades: Some additional trade skills such as welding, carpentry, plumbing etc. could be needed at this level
- Maintains a clean and orderly work area and maintenance shop
- Adheres to all SOPs, cGMPs, safety requirements and procedures
- Performs all other duties and responsibilities as required
Requirements:
- 2+ years professional maintenance experience in the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of mechanical, electrical and electronic equipment reqiured
- 2+ years manufacturing experience required
- Working knowledge of Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)
Skills:
- Strong mathematical skills
- Basic electrical knowledge and the ability to demonstrate ability to use electrical tools including electrical test
- Must be able to read blueprints, shop drawings, and generate rough sketches as needed
- Must be mechanically inclined and have the ability to use all standard tools of the trade including: hand tools, power tools, and machine shop tools
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- High level of organizational skills
- Must be detailed oriented
- Strong computer skills, including CMMS knowledge
- Must be able to multi-task and follow-up when responses are needed
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines

The approximate hourly pay for this position is $26.80-33.49. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to knowledge, skills and abilities as well as geographic location.
