Cox Enterprises is hiring a Senior Manager, Brand Marketing. This role will lead key marketing and creative initiatives within Cox's Environmental Marketing practice, which supports the company's environmental and biodiversity goals through impact campaigns in collaboration with a global coalition of partners. With a current focus on protecting wild fish in wild places, this position plays a central role in developing and executing campaigns that drive meaningful environmental change.

You will be responsible for developing and delivering strategic programs tailored to specific channels and objectives, ensuring the timely production of high-quality creative assets. The role requires close collaboration with internal teams and external partners to maintain campaign integrity, interpret cultural trends, and translate insights into actionable strategies.

This position also serves as a primary liaison to Cox senior leaders and executive directors and presidents of NGO partners-and leads coordination with creative and operational teams to bring key initiatives to life. Additionally, you will act as a mentor and steward for the broader team, fostering a strong, unified culture, optimizing talent development, and ensuring effective ways of working across the group.

  • Develop strategies, identify target audiences and craft smart, inspiring marketing programs that ensure we achieve our marketing objectives across different channels and segments.
  • Works with SMEs to develop strategic recommendations, presenting and defending new ideas that solve objectives.
  • Lead a coalition of existing partners and identify, recommend, and establish relationships with new partners who can add value to the initiatives."
  • Partner proactively with creative teams and NGO partners - as well as other stakeholders across the organization - to bring amazing marketing executions of all stripes to life.
  • Develop creative briefs and guide creative direction to meet objectives for all advertising and public-facing communications, including print, digital and video assets.
  • Propose and manage research projects to generate consumer insights that drive even smarter marketing strategies and communications - from rapid-firing testing of creative concepts to marketing segmentation work to user testing allowing us to build more customer-centric digital experiences.
  • Spearhead our team's approach to measuring and optimizing marketing effectiveness through tracking, reporting and analysis.
  • Present ideas and final deliverables to internal and external teams, and communicate with senior leaders about marketing programs, strategies, and budgets. Sure, public speaking is a phobia for some, but you never met a stage you didn't like. Or you're at least willing to be an enthusiastic understudy.
  • Accountable for overseeing budget pacing, project health and required tradeoffs/prioritizations when escalated.
  • Lead and manage the annual planning and quarterly strategy process.
  • Take a few risks (within reason!), fail fast and learn from your mistakes.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, or related field with 8+ years of experience in a marketing and/or agency environment. A candidate may also have a Master's Degree with 6+ years of experience or a Ph.D. with 3+ years of experience. A non-degreed candidate will have 12+ years of relevant experience.
  • Proven experience identifying target audiences, crafting integrated marketing plans and stewarding campaign development - start to finish.
  • Experience analyzing data, making sense of metrics and generating campaign reports.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. We need a strong writer in this position with a love for great copy and witty communication!
  • Demonstrable experience working with internal or external creative teams.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Environment marketing impact campaign experience.
  • Advanced knowledge of creative strategy, communications, PR, digital marketing, including SEO/SEM, CRM, website, social media and innovative digital campaigns.
  • Experience running medium-to-large scale projects in a matrixed environment.
  • Experience in any of the following industries: NGO, environment, consumer and B2B campaigns.

USD 108,800.00 - 181,400.00 per year

Compensation:

Compensation includes a base salary of $108,800.00 - $181,400.00. The base salary may vary within the anticipated base pay range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate's knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include an incentive program.

Benefits:

The Company offers eligible employees the flexibility to take as much vacation with pay as they deem consistent with their duties, the company's needs, and its obligations; seven paid holidays throughout the calendar year; and up to 160 hours of paid wellness annually for their own wellness or that of family members. Employees are also eligible for additional paid time off in the form of bereavement leave, time off to vote, jury duty leave, volunteer time off, military leave, and parental leave.
