Your Role on Our Team:
As a Senior Quality Engineer, you'll be integral to our production operations, leading quality initiatives that ensure our motor products meet the highest standards of performance and reliability.
This role will lead factory Quality within our Red Ink facility, where you'll provide hands-on technical leadership, drive root cause analysis, and implement robust quality systems directly on the production floor. You'll be empowered to take ownership of quality challenges, collaborate across engineering and manufacturing teams, and deliver solutions that make a real impact.
You'll be DISRUPTIVE through these duties and responsibilities:
New Product Development (NPD) & Production Readiness
Lead quality engineering activities for NPD and CI projects
Ensure system-level validation, component qualification, and supplier readiness
Prepare and maintain control plans based on PFMEA and CTQ's
Review and qualify production fixtures (Cpk, GR&R)
Support DFMA and Critical Dimension Assessment (CDA) reviews with cross-functional teams
Engage in global transfer and duplication projects
Mass Production (MP) & Quality Assurance
Manage production line quality issues, minimizing line stops and abnormalities
Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) and implement containment actions utilizing 8D methodology
Manage non-conforming product quarantine and tracking
Perform GR&R, Cpk studies, and SPC monitoring
Implement systemic corrective actions and poka-yoke systems
Document lessons learned and provide feedback to stakeholders for CI
Customer Satisfaction & Continuous Improvement
Drive continuous improvement aligned with quality KPIs
Coordinate internal audits and monitor audit performance
Support engineering changes and failure analysis activities
Create and present quality reports at organizational and corporate levels
What TOOLS you'll bring with you:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering
Minimum 5 years of experience in quality engineering, preferably in motor or metal product manufacturing
Ability to travel Internationally (China, Vietnam, Mexico). Total travel 10%
Technical Knowledge
Proficient in ISO9000, TS16949 standards
Strong understanding of SPC, FMEA, DOE, GD&T, and QC tools
Familiarity with Minitab, Microsoft Office, and drawing interpretation
Basic knowledge of electronics, electronics manufacturing, and ESD
