GENERAL SUMMARY: The Laboratory Quality Manager oversees the Lab Specialists in the areas of Chemistry, Hematology (including Coagulation and Urinalysis), Microbiology, Transfusion Medicine and Point of Care Testing; ensures compliance with all regulatory and safety requirements to insure the highest quality of service to patients and physicians at all times. Researches, evaluates, recommends and implements technical supplies, instrumentation, equipment, methodologies, and procedures for the Clinical Laboratory. PRINCIPAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelors of Science degree in Medical Technology or equivalent field of study required. American Society of Clinical Pathologists (ASCP) certification required. Minimum three (3) years of clinical laboratory experience required. Minimum of one (1) year supervisory or managerial experience in a clinical setting required. |
