Overview:

Sentara Heart Hospital located on the Campus of Sentara Norfolk General in Norfolk, Virginia is hiring a Registered Nurse Traveler for the Advanced Heart Failure Unit!

$70 per hour
Temp Full time Night Shift

Must be skilled with titrating drips and experience related to Hemodynamics.

Education

Associates, Bachelors, Masters, or diploma in the Nursing Field required

Certification/Licensure

  • Virginia or Compact Multi-State License in good standing
  • Basic Life Support (BLS)
  • ACLS

Experience

Must have 2 or more years of recent acute care Cardiac hospital RN experience

Department Overview:
*24 bed unit that provides high acuity cardiac care to patients with severe heart failure, pre/post heart transplant, and pulmonary hypertension.
*Work with high tech equipment such as mechanical circulatory support including ventricular assist devices (LVAD) and telemetry monitors.
*Environment relies on 24 hours consistent communication and intricate interdisciplinary teamwork skills.
*Nurses handle 3-4 patients on this unit based on acuity level.
