The Opportunity

Adobe is seeking someone who can roll up their sleeves to join our global Trademark, Marketing, Domains, and Copyright (TMDC) team. As a Legal Specialist in a new hybrid role, you will manage our Copyright Registration program and workflows, and be on the frontlines of responding to Permissions Requests, Marketing and Advertising Requests. There is no "typical day" in this role, as the responsibilities are constantly evolving.

Balancing internal and external relationships is key to this role, while providing exceptional customer and client experiences. This position is embedded within the Legal team, but collaborates with numerous Engineering, Business, and Customer Experience teams across the company.

What You'll Do:

  • Manage the global portfolio of Copyright Applications/Registrations for the United States, Canada, and South Korea, including gathering and reviewing source code files from teams for each product, filing applications with the copyright offices, and organizing registrations online

  • Evaluate and expeditiously respond to incoming Permissions requests from third parties for Adobe branded materials and Trademarks

  • Triage and respond to marketing and advertising requests from the business units, drafting rules for contests, sweepstakes, and other promotions; and review sponsorship agreements for clarity and accuracy

  • Maintain and grow Adobe's standard communication materials, including but not limited to templates and policies

  • Use your technical expertise to (co)manage a variety of exciting technical projects, with a focus on continuously modernizing our tools and infrastructure

What You Need to Succeed

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience

  • 6+ years of work experience in intellectual property and technical roles

  • Proficiency in Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft Office suite, Slack or Microsoft Teams, and extensive use of web-based tools and platforms

  • Proficiency with HTML, reading and writing source code

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Zendesk, Qualtrics, Lucidcharts, and/or WIKI is a plus

  • Exceptional organizational skills, with a slight passion for digitally archiving paper documents

  • Familiarity with marketing and advertising systems including consent management and email marketing platforms

  • Ability to prioritize, multitask and juggle emails, tasks, and projects, both collaborating as a team to stay in sync and working independently to get the job done

  • Strong cross-collaborative communication skills

  • Enthusiasm about creativity, innovation and Adobe

  • Great sense of humor

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The U.S. pay range for this positionis $76,500 -- $147,100 annually. Paywithin this range varies by work locationand may also depend on job-related knowledge, skills,and experience. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for the job location during the hiring process.

At Adobe, for sales roles starting salaries are expressed as total target compensation (TTC = base + commission), and short-term incentives are in the form of sales commission plans. Non-sales roles starting salaries are expressed as base salary and short-term incentives are in the form of the Annual Incentive Plan (AIP).

In addition, certain roles may be eligible for long-term incentives in the form of a new hire equity award.
