If you enjoy working in a collaborative, fast-paced environment and have experience with fabrication tools and techniques, this could be the perfect fit!

Pay Rate:

$16.00/hour

Shift:

1st Shift | Monday - Friday (Exact hours may vary)

As a Prototyper, you'll play a critical role in transforming product concepts into functional prototypes. You'll collaborate closely with engineers, designers, and project managers to evaluate feasibility, test functionality, and help refine designs before full-scale production.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with design and engineering teams to understand prototype requirements
• Build physical prototypes using fabrication tools (e.g., 3D printing, CNC machining, hand tools)
• Test prototypes for functionality, durability, and compliance with project goals
• Provide feedback to improve design performance and efficiency
• Maintain documentation on build processes, materials, and modifications
• Keep tools, equipment, and workspaces organized and in safe working order
• Source necessary materials for builds and ensure timely project delivery

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor's degree preferred in engineering, industrial design, or related field
• Prior hands-on experience in prototype fabrication or model making
• Proficiency with fabrication tools and machines (3D printers, laser cutters, CNC, etc.)
• Knowledge of materials like plastics, metals, composites, and wood
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, CAD files, and schematics
• Experience using CAD software (SolidWorks, Fusion 360, AutoCAD, etc.)
• Basic understanding of electronics and assembly of embedded components
• Excellent attention to detail, time management, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to lift up to [X lbs] and stand for extended periods
• Strong manual dexterity and safety awareness in a workshop environment
