Wilson Elser iscurrently seeking aMedical Malpractice Associate Attorney to join our Houston office.This is an excellent opportunity for attorneys with 2-8 years of litigation experience, to grow in their careers with exposure to a wide variety of prominent national clients and by taking on substantial litigation responsibilities. Working directly with in-house counsel, the attorney in this role will have the exciting opportunity to interact directly with sophisticated clients that we represent, as well as with teams of our own talented, experienced professionals.

This is a hybrid position, offering great flexibility.

The Position

Key Responsibilities:



  • Independently manage a caseload involving medical and legal malpractice claims
  • Work closely with other attorneys, team members, and Partners on legal projects
  • Regularly handle hearings and depositions
  • Communicate with clients and provide status reports
  • Opportunity to handle significant caseload of lawsuits to settlement or verdict.


Qualifications



  • JD from an accredited law school
  • Must be admitted to practice in TX
  • 2+ years of defense litigation experience
  • Experience in Medical Malpractice preferred
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Legal project management experience is helpful
