Position Highlights |
This position supports a broad set of curatorial and technical needs within the Laboratory of Tree-Ring Research. Time is to be split between curatorial activities such as cataloging and rehousing of collections, and laboratory activities in support of sample analysis. This is an Extended Temporary Employment (ETE) position.

Duties & Responsibilities |
- Provide routine dendrochronological support. Cutting, sanding, digitization and measuring of wood samples.
- Assisting with preparation of wood samples for chemical analysis including stable isotope and radiocarbon following established steps and protocols.
- Broad assistance with a range of museum curatorial activities including: cataloging; rehousing; inventory; loan processing; labeling of collections under supervision.
- Assist with the organization of samples arriving in the laboratory for archiving, dendrochronology and chemical analysis. This includes recording samples into existing logs/database, following set procedures for freeze treatment of samples, labeling and communication with LTRR staff and faculty as needed.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Knowledge of museum curation, wet lab procedures and dendrochronological methods.

Minimum Qualifications |
- High school diploma or high school diploma equivalency is required.
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
