THE OPPORTUNITY Reporting to the Inside Sales & Customer Support Manager, the Customer Support Representative 1 will:
- Receive, plan, process, and confirm orders placed by domestic and international customers in an assigned territory to ensure customer satisfaction and contribute to the overall customer experience. Requires research and collaboration with other departments to ensure appropriate lead time and delivery date is assigned and product is sourced from appropriate warehouse.
- Research and select appropriate transportation carrier to minimize delivery issues (time/cost) on customer orders. Review freight invoices for accuracy and dispute errors, keeping carriers accountable and reducing freight costs.
- Answer customer questions and resolve issues related to orders, products, lead time, and paperwork. Requires some research and problem solving with other departments.
- Review invoices for accuracy. Complete daily invoice runs and credit card processing to improve overall cash flow.
- Provide order documentation as requested to complete customer orders, including Certificates of Analysis, invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, and any other required documents.
THE QUALIFICATIONS The right candidate will be a team player with excellent interpersonal and customer service skills. Your credentials ideally include:
- High school diploma required, bachelor's degree preferred.
- 2-5 years of customer service experience preferred.
- Strong business acumen.
- The ability to communicate professionally both verbally and in writing.
- Detail oriented, critical thinker with strong skills utilizing large databases.
- Strong time management capabilities in an environment with rapidly changing priorities and time constraints.
- Capacity and desire to learn.
