Systems Manager - Imagery and Lighting

At Aerodyne, as part of NASA's largest engineering solutions partnership, you'll work on high-visibility, cutting-edge projects supporting deep space missions. We're currently seeking a Systems Manager - Imagery and Lighting to support the Lunar Terrain Vehicle (LTV) development as part of NASA's Artemis program. This role focuses on managing the Computer Human Interface for Imagery and Lighting Systems, critical to mission success and astronaut situational awareness.
What You'll Do
Manage system engineering activities for the LTV's imagery and lighting interfaces Support project scheduling, procurement documentation, budgets, and system requirement deliverables Develop and maintain requirements and verification packages for system architecture, design, operations, and sustainment Lead and participate in system integration, verification/validation (V&V), and lifecycle product reviews Align hardware specifications with system requirements and verification methods Provide user-focused feedback throughout design iterations Support ground and flight hardware testing, including documentation and validation activities Evaluate verification reports to ensure compliance with system-level requirements Contribute to key engineering milestones (SRR, PDR, CDR) Perform system-level architecture trade studies and analyses to optimize performance Identify and manage technical risks, and support planning for mitigation Present progress and technical status to customers and leadership teams Collaborate in a team environment while managing competing priorities
Basic Qualifications
BS in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution 5-10 years of experience in systems engineering or related technical fields Strong understanding of imagery and lighting systems in aerospace or space applications Familiarity with SE&I (Systems Engineering & Integration) processes and model-based systems engineering Experience in system-level testing and development of test requirements Working knowledge of space hardware practices, including electrical/mechanical system design, engineering drawings, and materials selection Strong communication and documentation skills Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines Collaborative, team-oriented mindset
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with NASA flight hardware and flight certification processes Familiarity with NASA's engineering and design protocols Background working in multi-disciplinary teams, including government and contractor personnel
