Quality Engineer

STS Technical Services is hiring a Quality Engineer in Kansas City, Kansas.

The Quality Engineer is responsible for researching and testing product designs, equipment functionality, and industrial processes to ensure quality standards are consistently met. This role plays a key part in evaluating product integrity, developing quality programs, and implementing inspection and testing protocols.

• Review and approve sampling procedures, quality forms, and instructions for data evaluation and reporting
• Supervise programs to assess the precision and accuracy of production and testing equipment
• Conduct training sessions on quality control procedures and best practices
• Specialize in one or more areas of quality engineering, including design, process control, product evaluation, or software testing
• Direct teams responsible for measuring product performance and compiling quality data
• Plan and oversee the development, application, and maintenance of quality standards
• Create and implement inspection and evaluation methods using chemical, electrical, or mechanical engineering principles
• May manage and maintain the organization's quality control program

• Strong communication, creativity, and analytical thinking
• Proven problem-solving and mentoring skills
• Team-oriented with excellent attention to detail
• Advanced ability to interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documents
• Proficient in engineering software, including Computer Aided Design (CAD)

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering required
• 10 years of relevant experience required
