Kratos is looking for an IT Shared Services Specialist for their corporate office in San Diego, CA.

GENERAL JOB SUMMARY:
The IT Shared Services Specialist performs centralized business operations services (shared services) within the Information Technology function such as design, analysis, evaluation, testing, debugging and implementation of applications programs supporting the company infrastructure business processes and operations and/or network-based (cloud) product systems. Analyzes, installs, acquires, modifies and supports operating systems, database or utilities software. Plans, conducts and directs the analysis of business problems with automated systems solutions. Analyzes, designs, acquires and implements projects for LAN and/or WAN systems. Plans, designs, acquires and implements telecommunications voice/wire systems.Manages the activities and personnel of the IT Service Desk (ITSD). Manages, through subordinate supervisors, the coordination of the activities across all of Kratos Divisions with responsibility for results, including costs, methods, and staffing. The ITSD team is located across the Continental United States and will branch into our international locations.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:
This position does not have direct supervisory responsibilities.

Required Experience:

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
Experience or technical training in Information Security required.
Technical training in IT operations required.
Security+ Certifications preferred.
Working knowledge of modern client and server operations systems: Windows, Linus, OSX
Working knowledge of enterprise network fundamentals.
Working knowledge of enterprise Microsoft Active Directory environments.
Possess the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the Essential Job Functions, including computer skills.
Maintain sensitive and confidential information as required by company and government requirements.
Communicate and interact effectively with peers, supervisors, and public, including maintaining respect for others, and following company policies.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
A minimum of 1 year of related experience with a Bachelor's degree; or, a minimum of 5 years of equivalent, related experience.

WORK ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Office and cubical environment.
Ability to stand and sit for long periods of time.
Ability to perform repetitive motion (keyboarding, mouse, phones).
Ability to lift up to 10 lbs.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS: Yes, as needed.
