Duties and Responsibilities |
UNC Charlotte's Career Center is seeking a dynamic and student-focused professional to serve as a
Temporary, Part-Time Career Coach. This individual will support undergraduate, graduate students and alumni through one-on-one career coaching appointments, drop-in assistance, and presentations. The role offers the opportunity to directly impact students' career development and readiness while collaborating with a dedicated team.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide individualized career coaching appointments on topics such as resumes, job/internship search strategies, interviewing, graduate school prep, and career exploration.
- Administer and interpret assessments measuring interests, skills, values, and abilities
- Review and provide actionable feedback on resumes, cover letters, and professional online profiles
- Conduct practice interviews and provide tailored interview preparation and feedback
- Support in the execution of career events, such as career fairs, employer panels, and networking events, as needed
- Facilitate career development presentations and workshops.
- Support drop-in coaching services during assigned shifts.
- Provide evening coverage on five Tuesdays throughout the term, to be scheduled collaboratively with teammates.
- Maintain accurate appointment records and notes.
