An Off-Campus Work-Study position

Position Summary:

The Education Department Assistant will support the delivery
of dynamic science education programs that inspire curiosity and foster a love
for the natural world. This role works closely with education staff and engages
diverse audiences across the city. This position works
a maximum of 15 hours per week (30 hours per two-week pay period).

Key Responsibilities:
Assist
in delivering hands-on educational activities at libraries, schools,
community festivals, and other public venues during weekdays and
occasional weekends.

Interact
with participants of all ages, backgrounds, and communities in a friendly,
respectful, and enthusiastic manner.

Facilitate
engaging learning experiences related to natural history and science
topics.

Preferred Qualifications:

Currently
enrolled in a degree program related to Education, Science Education,
Environmental Studies, or a related field.

Strong
communication and interpersonal skills and passion for education and
connecting people with science and nature.

Availability
to work weekdays and weekends
