Salary range:
Total Negotiated Salary (TNS) calculation depending on specialty can range from $252,110-$393,200. The posted UC salary scales set the minimum pay determined by rank and/or step at appointment. This position includes membership in the health science compensation plan, which provides for eligibility for additional compensation. Application Window Open date: July 28, 2025 Next review date: Thursday, Aug 28, 2025 at 11:59pm (Pacific Time) Final date: Monday, Jul 27, 2026 at 11:59pm (Pacific Time) Position description The Division of General Internal Medicine in the Department of Medicine is seeking candidates for faculty positions in the Health Sciences Clinical series at the level of Assistant Professor or above. The candidate will be expected to teach residents and medical students; provide patient care; contribute to scholarly activities; and provide public and University service. The candidate will provide ambulatory care at the UC Irvine Medical Center in Orange or the Joe C. Wen & Family Center for Advanced Care in Irvine. Minimum requirements include an MD or equivalent degree, board certification or eligibility in Internal Medicine and/or Medicine/Pediatrics, and eligibility to obtain an active medical practice license in the State of California. Academic rank and compensation will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. A generous package of retirement benefits is included when employed by the University of California.
