DESCRIPTION OF WORK

This role oversees space planning and project coordination for Commonwealth agencies to ensure efficient, functional, and cost-effective use of workspaces. It involves managing a portfolio of space-related projects, serving as the primary liaison among agencies, internal teams, and external partners. The position leads customer consultations to gather workspace requirements, translates them into actionable plans, and ensures alignment with strategic goals. Responsibilities also include coordinating floor plan design, developing lease specifications, and maintaining accurate project tracking through systems like TRIRIGA.

In addition, the role supports compliance with workplace standards such as ADA guidelines and the Commonwealth's Space Utilization Manual, analyzes space usage data to drive efficiencies and reduce excess leasing, contributes to policy development, and provides training on space management systems. It requires interpreting architectural documents, maintaining drafting standards, and staying informed on industry best practices, while exercising independent judgment and fostering cross-agency collaboration

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment
  • Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch.
  • Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time. Two days per week required at headquarters in Harrisburg (subject to change at management discretion). In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg.
  • Candidate must also be able to travel to Harrisburg, or other locations around the state to conduct site visits or attend in person meeting as required to perform job duties and meet operational needs.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • One year as an Administrative Officer 2 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration);or
  • Four years of experience in progressively responsible and varied office management of staff work in public or private organization, including experience in personnel management budgeting or procurement; and such training as may have been gained through graduation from a four-year college or university; or
  • Any equivalent combination of experience and training.

Additional Requirements:

  • You must have possession of a valid Class C PA driver's license.
  • You must have Project Management experience.
  • You must have experience reading and interpreting construction drawings.
  • You must have experience using drafting software.
  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.
