Job Description:
NextGear (a Cox Automotive company) is hiring a
Portfolio Manager to support the assigned St. Petersburg, FLA Territory. The Portfolio Manager is responsible for managing and growing our $50k to $2.5M within the assigned geographic territory. The primary responsibilities include building and maintaining relationships with clients, optimizing the portfolio through the clients' use of the line of credit, identifying and mitigating pre-default account risk and supporting post default collections on defaulted accounts.
Candidates must live within the zip codes related to the St. Petersburg, FLA Territory.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Optimize each client's use of the line of credit within an assigned portfolio whose lines of credit range from $50k to $2.5M by acting as a floor plan subject matter expert to their portfolio of clients.
- Achieve goals and performance targets as set by the company by regularly engaging with clients in person or virtually by collaborating with internal partners to drive revenue and maximize profitability through prudent account management, controlled growth and risk mitigation.
- Educate clients on desired performance behaviors, self-service options, and best practices and coach them to ensure compliance with company policies and expectations.
- Collect and analyze client financial information and various internal reports and dashboards to assess add monitor dealer performance and address with the dealer as appropriate to drive growth and manage risk.
- Support the Risk and Recovery department with pre-default risk mitigation and post default collection efforts on defaulted accounts.
- Serve as a fiduciary for the company including identifying and reporting to the company any material client or internal non-compliance with company policies, attempted or actual fraud upon the company or any other circumstance that may require identification and reporting to protect the company.

- Document in Salesforce all activities and client interactions as required by the company.

Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

- Proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams and Salesforce.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in related discipline and 4 years' experience in a related field (finance, client facing, B2B, account management and/or collections) required. The right candidate could also have a different combination, such as a master's degree and 2 years' experience; a Ph.D. and up to 1 year of experience; or 8 years' experience in a related field in lieu of a degree.
- Automotive and/or floorplan industry background preferred.
- Financial knowledge and acumen preferred.
Physical Demands:
- Travel: Greater than 25% with some overnight travel required.
- Ability to travel, fly, drive.
- Ability to sit and stand for extended periods of time.
- Valid driver's license is required for this position.

USD 87,200.00 - 130,800.00 per year
Compensation:
Compensation includes a base salary of $87,200.00 - $130,800.00. The base salary may vary within the anticipated base pay range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate's knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include an incentive program.
