Service Technician - Preventative Maintenance - Specific Benefits
- Communicates and supports the Kirby Smith vision and core values of One Mission, One Team, One Plan, One Goal
- Performs preventative maintenance services on equipment as assigned ex. lubrication/greasing and checking fluid levels as needed
- Plans methods and sequence of performing assigned repairs
- Keeps rework within established guidelines
- Notifies the Manager of any additional work required on the unit
- Contributes to departmental and product line goals
- Completes required paperwork efficiently and timely
- Attends factory and other training as specified by supervisor
- Promotes goodwill and exhibits excellent customer relation behaviors with customers, managers, and coworkers
- Maintains service truck in good working condition and cleanliness
- Completes daily, monthly, and annual safety and vehicle inspections
- Models safe work habits and always abides by company safety policies and procedures
- Organizes, cleans, and maintains a safe work area

- Ensures consistent and reliable on-site attendance
Service Technician - Preventative Maintenance Position Purpose The Service Technician - Preventative Maintenance performs lube services and minor repairs in the field or shop.The Lube Service Technician will perform quality work as efficiently and profitably as possible. This role may require overtime, overnight stays, and occasional weekend work. Service Technician - Preventative Maintenance Essential Functions
- Performs lube service on equipment as assigned - provides lubrication/greasing as needed, checks fluid levels as needed
- Performs minor repairs. Example: leaking hoses
- Assists in loading and unloading equipment
- Washes units before delivery when directed
- Cleans shop area as directed
- Assists other technicians as required
- Follows all safety rules and policies at all times
- Performs other duties as requested by the supervisor
- Is available for off-hour work, including spending nights out
Service Technician - Preventative Maintenance Minimum Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- One(1) year of similar work experience in a similar work environment
- Demonstrated basic mechanical knowledge covering oil changes
- Ability to speak, read, and write in English
- Must have own basic tools
- Class B CDL Preferred
Service Technician - Preventative Maintenance Physical Requirements
- Pushes/Pulls/Lifts/Carriesup to 100pounds without assistance
- Physical ability to squat, twist, turn, bend, stoop, climb, and reach overhead
- Must be able to work in extreme heat or cold andwet, damp, dusty, or windy conditions and tolerate exposure to typical noises, hazardous materials, and fumes/odors associated with the shop/field
- Physical ability to perform the job functions throughout an eight-hour workday
- Ability to adhere to personal protective equipment (PPE) policy and maintain individual PPE in a functional condition
