Who we are looking for


Purpose

Chiesi is looking for a creative, highly motivated, and compassionate individual for the position of Specialist, Patient Advocacy in the Rare Disease business unit.


Reporting to the VP Global Patient Advocacy, the Specialist will assist with management of internal and external projects in conjunction with the PA team and cross-functional partners in the Americas (US, Canada, & LATAM). This position will lead regular project team meetings for the tracking and alignment of project requirements and deliverables as it relates to overall PA and business needs across various internal and external project/programs. This includes developing plans, schedule creation and tracking milestones, monitoring variances to plan, reporting progress to stakeholders, and ultimately ensuring all project milestones and objectives are successfully met.


The Advocacy Specialist plans, organizes, and leads cross-functional project meetings and collaborates with PA project owners and participates in PA and cross-functional meetings. They will be the subject matter expert in internal processes and will be tasked to identify and lead initiatives to increase efficiency, and improve communication, particularly with existing and new digital tools. A key component of the role is to breakdown potential silos across strategic disease areas, foster intra/extra team collaboration, and propose projects/programs to improve our way of working.

Main Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate internal PA project team meetings to review and track project requirements, timelines, and deliverables.
  • Coordinate PA projects across various stakeholders identifying interdependencies, milestones, and risks.
  • Maintain and update milestones in internal tracking and workflow documents.
  • Facilitate projects, initiatives, and project meetings.
  • Create/maintain project scope, timelines, budgets, team, project plan and project objectives/goals.
  • Facilitate strategic discussions with core team members across multi-functional groups.
  • Track and monitor project progress including financials, schedule, resource constraints, risks, contract status, and other appropriate project performance indicators.
  • Prepare and conduct presentations to all levels of the organization.
  • Work with PA Leads to prepare and maintain required project management documents and tools to facilitate project timelines and team communication, meeting planning, and documentation of decisions and action items.
  • Support project administration by capturing and issuing agendas and meeting minutes.
  • Understand and integrate Chiesi GRD core values and behaviors into daily project interactions.

Experience Required

  • Strong communication, networking, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong Microsoft Office suite competency.
  • Good listening skills and ability to identify needs from multiple stakeholders; ability to translate terms and concepts to audienceswith different perspectives and levels of understanding.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across all internal functions and levels of influence.
  • Strong project and program management skills.
  • Experience in the bio-pharmaceutical environment with exposure to rare disease and patient advocacy a plus.
  • Based in Boston, MA with some national and international travel (approximately 15%).

Education

Undergraduate degree in social science, public health, or related field.
