Department Summary

The mission of the Division of Student Affairs is to create transformational experiences for all HSC students by providing tailored support and fostering holistic development. There are 8 functional units within the Division of Student Affairs: Center for Student Life, Career Readiness Center, Center for Academic Performance, Office of Care and Civility, Testing and Evaluation Services, International Services, Office of Disability Access, and Student Assistance Resource Center.

Position Overview

This position serves as a high level case management position for both Care Team and Student Conduct. As it specifically relates to student conduct, this position is responsible for the investigation and adjudication of student conduct cases, which includes high level decision making such as assigning suspensions and expulsions. Additionally, this position plays a vital role in the Title IX process through the panel member and adjudication process. Additionally, this position maintains on-call responsibilities for responding to student emergencies. Finally, this position assists in prevention and education programming responsibilities related to Care Team and Conduct topics.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree and three (3) years of related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities



  • Familiarity with FERPA regulations and how to implement them in student interactions. Excellent customer service skills.
  • Ability to set and adhere to strict deadlines.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and proven written communication skills.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects with varying deadlines in a high paced, time-sensitive environment.
  • Strong computer skills and proficiency working with a wide range of software programs including Word, Excel, and database management tools.


Preferred Qualifications

The preferred candidate will possess the following additional qualifications: Masters Degree in related field is preferred. 3 years of related experience. Experience directly in student conduct and case management. Title IX certifications.

Job Duties:



  • Care Team: Provide nonclinical case management services to students who are experiencing personal need. This includes meetings, referrals to resources, and follow up communication.
  • Conduct: Manage cases from origination through investigation to completion, determining responsibility and any applicable disciplinary actions, including expulsion when necessary. This may involve Title IX cases. Reports Case findings appropriately for individual cases and for discipline verifications.
  • Programming: Assist in creation and implementation of prevention and education programming responsibilities related to Care Team and Conduct topics.
  • Administrative Tasks: Complete all necessary case management and respond to requests for information in a timely manner. Administer background check process for student applicants as requested by UNT Health academic programs.
  • On-call Responsibilities: Answer and respond to student emergencies after hours and on weekends.

  • Lifting and Moving objects up to 20 pounds.
  • Sedentary work that primarily involves sitting/standing.

Work Schedule:

Monday - Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm, with occasional evenings or weekends as required for divisional events.
