Position Summary

The Quality Assurance Engineer, Software is responsible for debugging software on new and existing products to ensure that they meet the requisite functional, technical, and regulatory compliance and maintain high overall product quality. This role has an understanding of developing software test methodologies and procedures in order to ensure testing efficiency and high level of quality.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Develops, modifies and executes software test plans, automated scripts and programs for testing.

  • Analyzes and writes test standards and procedures.

  • Maintains documentation of test results to assist in debugging and modification of software.

  • Analyzes test results to ensure existing functionality and recommends corrective action.

  • Submit, track, and assist with escalation, if needed, any product issues found during testing to ensure that they are resolved.

  • Provide input to the weekly project status report for each assigned project

  • Reproduce issues, when necessary, in order to assist software development in resolving issues.

  • Provide detailed Completion Reports at the end of each project

  • Interface with other members of Product Development in order to effectively communicate and assist with resolution of all reported issues in a timely manner before the gaming product is released.

  • Ensures quality computer integration into the overall functions of scientific computation, data acquisition and processing.

  • Take full ownership of the release process, managing all aspects of end-to-end project delivery.

Qualifications

Education / Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science/Information Technology/Electronics &, or a related field.

  • Minimum of 2 years of software quality assurance experience required for experienced candidates.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Understanding of software test methodologies/procedures and the overall product development lifecycle

  • Experience with C and/or C++ and/or C#

  • Working knowledge of Linux/Unix/Windows

  • Working knowledge of Visual Studio

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook

  • Working knowledge of computer operation and principles of computer hardware

  • Ability to work in a fast paced, deadline-oriented environment

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

  • Ability to communicate and collaborate with other team members

  • Detail-oriented and organized
