Job Details:
Mercer University School of Medicine (MUSM) is searching for an Associate Director of Strategic Planning and Monitoring on the Macon, Georgia campus.

Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Mercer University School of Medicine (MUSM) Senior Associate Dean for Strategic Planning, Accreditation and Evaluation, the Associate Director of Strategic Planning and Monitoring oversees the development, monitoring and evaluation of MUSM strategic planning goals, objectives, and tactics. This position provides support for strategic plan development and tracking, academic program evaluation and accreditation, and co-curricular and outreach program evaluation for MUSM. The Associate Director of Strategic Planning and Monitoring acts with a significant degree of freedom with routine management decisions under the direct supervision of the MUSM Senior Associate Dean for Strategic Planning, Accreditation and Evaluation.

Qualifications:

A bachelor's degree and at least three years of experience in strategic planning, multi-department project management and progress reporting, and/or higher education academic program evaluation and accreditation are required. Must have demonstrated skills in the use of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word or software that provides similar capabilities.

Candidates must have a valid driver's license and be insurable by the university's carrier.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
  • Ability to communicate effectively (verbal and written) with all leadership and employee levels within the School of Medicine and with key individuals in other organizations/agencies in order to collect and analyze data.
  • Ability to organize and lead teams of stakeholders, both in person and in the virtual environment, to work constructively and productively on planning goals, objectives, tactics and outcomes measures.
  • Ability to independently develop progress reports that include goals, objectives and data.
  • Ability to give public presentations in person and through virtual conferencing systems.
  • Ability to manage several data management and reporting projects and demonstrate flexibility in managing those projects.
  • Ability to maintain a workflow that generates quality, on-time work products.
  • Demonstrated "team player" with the desire to promote the mission of MUSM through energetic and effective coordination with stakeholders.
  • Possesses excellent listening skills, a willingness to learn, and the ability to adapt to a dynamic environment.
  • Demonstrated skills in the use of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word, or software that provides similar capabilities.
  • Ability to travel on university business and must be insurable by the university's carrier.
