Senior Specialist, Payroll
Job Description:
Role Summary: The Payroll Specialist will be responsible for accurate and timely processing of payroll for exempt and non-exempt employees in U.S. & Canada utilizing automated payroll/time & attendance systems. This role can be remote in the following states or based at our sites in Aurora, IL, Colorado Springs, CO, Chaska, MN or Billerica, MA.
Massachusetts, Minnesota, Texas, Utah, Connecticut, North Carolina, Rhode Island, Wisconsin, Illinois, Arizona, Nevada, Pennsylvania, New Hampshire, Florida, Georgia, Indiana, Ohio, Oklahoma, Idaho, Tennessee
Process bi-weekly, monthly, or semi-monthly payrolls for US-based employees, including salary, bonuses, and other compensation adjustments for small to large client size across varying industries
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws, tax regulations, and company policies
Be responsible for the accuracy of payroll data entry, validation, and reconciliations, working with data uploads, APIs and manual data entry
Be proficient in the use of our payroll software to update and maintain employee data, including new hires, terminations, and pay rate, including the setup of clients on the technology and configuration and testing of system changes
What We Seek:
- 5+ years' experience in Payroll
- Bachelor's Degree and/or Certified Payroll Professional designation is preferred
- High school diploma/GED equivalent required
- Experience with ADP Workforce Now, ADP Essential Time and/or Workday systems is preferred
- Working knowledge of multi-state payroll laws
- Solid problem-solving skills and can work under minimal supervision
- Ability to communicate effectively and work well within a team
- Ability to investigate and resolve payroll issues in compliance with regulatory and company standards
- Knowledgeable and proficient in PC based software applications and payroll processing software.
- Strong organizational and documentation skills
- Proven ability to meet deadlines
- Knowledge of internal controls over payroll processing
- Maintains confidentiality of employee and company data

- Compensation: $85,000 - $105,000 per year range with actual pay dependent on candidate overall skills for the role
