Job Summary


Under the direction of the Autotool Systems Manager, the ATS Technician is responsible for providing complete servicing/repair of all Autotool models, working in conjunction with the Autotool department to ensure proper inventory transactions and parts order shipments are complete on time. This will be achieved by maintaining HellermannTyton's Quality and EHS certifications by supporting all corporate policies, procedures, work instructions, and required documentation.



Essential Functions



  • Repair and test returned Autotools to achieve the highest level of customer service possible.
  • Set up and test new Autotools for delivery.
  • Maintain up-to-date records on all systems as required.
  • Provide technical support for Engineering, Specialists, Sales, and ATS personnel
  • Ensure that all daily departmental shipping and receiving for Autotools is completed accurately and on time.
  • Follow corporate EHS policies.



Other Functions



  • Maintain an orderly and clean work area.
  • Monitor inventory levels and notify the manager and the purchasing department. of any concerns.
  • Offer suggestions or ideas on new products or tools, or department procedures.
  • Understand and contribute to the company and department objectives and goals.
  • Assist other department personnel when needed.
  • Other duties may be assigned.



Success in this role will require



  • Ability to navigate tool systems, procedures, and documentation.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and repair all Autotool models within the required repair time.
  • Ability to track tools through the tool systems' history files.
  • Ability to stay current with all tool versions and necessary upgrades.
  • Ability to proficiently use all appropriate departmental and company software
  • Ability to read (interpret) technical drawings.
  • Ability to use general hand tools, screwdriver, pliers, tweezers etc.



What You'll Bring



  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Additional schooling or training in mechanical or electrical technology or equivalent preferred
  • 1-2 years' experience as a technician in hand tools.
  • Good manual dexterity, mechanical aptitude, hand and-eye coordination
  • Regular attendance and the ability to work overtime as needed is a requirement of the job.
  • Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds.
  • You must have a valid driver's license, with an acceptable driving record, along with adequate insurance.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Products.
